Iodine-Starch Test
Identifying the areas and severity of excessive sweating.
The iodine-starch test is a simple, fast and painless examination used to identify the areas where sweating occurs and to assess its severity and extent, particularly in excessive sweating of the underarms, palms and soles. This ensures that injections are placed in the correct areas, especially in botulinum toxin treatments. The test can also be repeated after treatment to assess its effectiveness, and the treatment plan adjusted accordingly where necessary.
