Diagnostic Methods

Dermatological diagnostic methods supporting clinical evaluation.

In dermatology, the right treatment begins with the right diagnosis. Many skin and hair conditions that look alike can require entirely different treatments. Diagnostic methods that support the clinical examination therefore play an important role both in establishing the diagnosis with certainty and in following the response to treatment.

In this section you will find the main dermatological diagnostic methods used in our practice. Methods such as trichoscopy, dermoscopy and digital mole mapping, fungal testing, the Demodex test and skin biopsy are largely painless, quick assessments that can often be performed in the same visit. Select the method you are interested in to reach detailed information about what it is used for and how it is performed.
