Microneedling (Dermapen)

A supportive microneedling procedure that stimulates scalp repair.

Microneedling (Dermapen) is one of the current procedures used as a supportive treatment for hair loss. In this method, controlled microchannels are created in the scalp with very fine sterile needles. This activates the scalp's natural repair process while supporting the release of growth factors that stimulate the hair follicles.

Microneedling aims to support tissue renewal in the area of the hair follicles, strengthen the hair strands and improve hair quality. By helping PRP, mesotherapy products or other hair-loss treatment solutions applied during the procedure to reach the deeper layers of the scalp, it can also increase the effectiveness of the treatment.

Microneedling can be applied on its own or together with other medical treatments in various types of hair loss deemed appropriate — particularly androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern hair loss).

Microneedling is usually applied at 3–4-week intervals. The number of sessions varies according to the type and severity of the hair loss and the treatments applied alongside it, but 4–6 sessions are recommended in most patients.
